.70 loading screen crash in the desert NE of Brink

Cant pin down what causes this crash... but happens a lot near brink... perhaps loading the inhabitants?
System specs: AMD A10 5800 CPU, AMD R9 290 GPU with Omega drivers (the latest) 32 gig of ram.
