0.74.6 Upgrade Required

Hey guys,

I happened upon this one the other day. Turns out there's at least one other user with the same issue.

When trying to smith weapons for the first time, I am faced with a message in the crafting window that says "Status: Upgrade Required"

I have done everything the game states I need in order to begin weapon smithing, but it simply won't work. The other user who had this issue claimed to fix it by building another weapon smith. Suddenly, both of them worked properly. In my case, this did not work. If there are any suggestions as to what I might try or if it will be included in a future update as a fix, please do tell! I've played for hours on a play through just to be able to smith weapons and now I can't

I cant reproduce this. Can you zip up the folder for your save game and send it to me?

I may be wrong but it seems to match the problem Rikter and me described in the post "Medical assembly desk - nothing queued".
If this is the case you may want to try the "fix" I described there.

In short, reload the game from the main screen with the items already queued.
The bench should work again as long as it has things in its production queue.

Here's my savegame file. The area with all the crafting benches is in the bottom left of the compound, next to the hemp farms.

I am pretty sure that that means you have researched weaponsmithing# since you queued your jobs. It just means that you can no longer make the old type of weapon.

Simply clear the queue and re-select what you want to make.

Thank you all for the responses! I'll give some of those fixes a try when I'm able to play later on. I'll also upload my save file for you to access. There was an update released since my original post, might've worked it out. I'll give all the deets when I give this stuff a try. As for the research advancement, this happened when I first built the weapon smith and was only able to queue up the iron club.
