[Fixed] Crash during Hired Sword death
Posted: Sat Dec 31, 2011 8:53 am
Squad of 5, leveling fighting dust bandits. Had two hires running around kiting groups of 2-3 bandits while my 3 better fighters took out another group. Distances between groups were far enough that I would get a "loading" message sometimes when switching control between squad members.
Sometimes combatants would die if I forgot to add another destination for the kiters, and the combatants sometimes would die. Usually I'd let them heal for a sec and go straight back into battle, as by now it usually takes a few hits before the main fighters die.
Anyway, I've been doing this for about 5 hours, and it crashed when my 3rd party member died and the group he was kiting started walking away. I right clicked his name and the camera zoomed to him as I intended, and I was looking at him through the inside of a mountain and it crashed.
Running win7 ultimate 64-bit, can provide more sys details if needed. It had been a while since I saved, and a LOT of running around in widely dispersed areas, so reproduction of the exact scenario is unlikely, though I will repost if I notice similar conditions again. It seems possible this is related to the "splitting up party crashes game" bug below, but that said it's been fixed, so maybe not.
Crash Dump included, version 0.21.5
