Conflict between factions. bug or feature?

While I was playing I noticed a slaver with a low bounty which was fighting any mercs, arround him the other members of the caravan were waiting. Suddenly after the Slaver got defeated the situation escalated. Many Caravan guards, traders and slavers ran inside the town and started attacking the other mercs, which also got enslaved. I wonder, is this was part of the game or just a very strange bug.

I think I've been away for a year at most. Opted to test the experimental version but right now too tired to read the whole past postings. Hopefully I'll find time to catch up.

Only one thing I've found out so far from a short gameplay session which I think also related to this problem of faction conflicts....playing as a ninja who woke up in a slaver camp. After I reload the quicksave while being chased by slavers, the slavers chasing me becomes not hostile and stopped chasing. Not all but a couple or so. Also I don't understand the mechanics on escaping from slavery, I seemed to be caged in the slaver camp like forever.

At another reload trial, the police of a city became hostile to me for escaping the slavers who placed me in the city police jail---not the slaver's camp. I thought running to another city would give me sanctuary from slavers, I guess I was wrong. They knock me out and lock me in the police cage, not bringing me back to the slaver camp.

Not to mentioned in another reload the slavers who carried my unconscious body was a slaver guard and continued with his guard duty with me on his back forever....oh well, time to read the forum on what is new with this cage system....-_-
