Captured & released (Experimental)

This happened a while back and forgot to copy my save game. I will try to explain in as much detail.

So I started a new game with the "old captain" and said let's pick a fight with some dudes bring them home to town so the guards can woop their ass and I get my loot. (Think they were traders guild)

On arrival in the town I engaged combat so I think police will help me, great. Turns out the police has put a bounty on my head right then and there. I get knocked out and the police officer takes me to jail, ok I'll break out no worries, but something entirely different happens.

The officer puts me in jail and one second later the police chief comes running along saying "You're free to go" and he released me out of the cage.
Just my lucky day I think, not noticing at that time I have the "Escaped slave" description on me. Of course they all come running back at me trying to lift my pretty ass off the ground. That's my story.

Don't know if the police chief should have freed me or that I became an escaped slave, he clearly let me out.
