I have noticed that when the camera isn't pointed at my character their progress in mining copper stops. As soon as I pivot the camera back to view my character the progress immediately continues.

I only have one character in my squad so I can't really test if really distant characters on the opposite side of the map can still make progress or not.

i think this is related to the other issues with moving the camera too far from characters which currently turns off pathing entirely

I noticed something very similar, though they would actually work, but it was very very slowly. I had to angle my camera so that they were just in close view while my settlement was on the other side of the camera.

Seems like the same problem as with the X series of Egosoft, that the "Out of Sector" in our case "Out of View" isn't working proberbly to lower the load of the PC, had to replace my mine to set everything in view either, stone processor needs tobe replaced too , disabling edge scrolling helped for that problem to stay "fixed/static" for the perfect view. thanks for mentione it i was already going to ask my own sanity already

Edit:the Buildings ( working normal) range is limited by the Maximumview range for NPCs. Increasing the "NPCView Range" in the Graphics settings increased the working area aswell. but it seems then it has to be in vision .... interesting
