I also had the same crashes in 0.90.6 but I didn't back them up before I did a fresh install.

I can start the game fine and get to the main menu. But when I try to start a new game, I don't even get to character creation before I crash. Well, no that's not true. When I try "Wanderer" start, I don't get to character creation. When I try a "Nobodies" start, I get a glimpse of the character creation menus before I crash out.

I don't have a gaming computer (though I did get it just 6-7 months ago) but I was playing on the stable version just fine with the onboard card. When I still had my older(like 10 hours of play) saves, even importing them led to a crash.

I'm running a dual-monitor setup via HDMI, if that might change anything although I don't understand how that could be the case.

Could the minimum specs have jumped that much or it is some other bug?

That bug has been fixed for me (and it seems like a good number of other people too).
