0.90.9 Cotton disappears when farmed

Hey all,

I'm finding that the cotton resource overwrites itself in the output window after each piece is produced. It does not seem to occur with wheatstraw. I have yet to try it with other farms.

I have checked storage boxes and the inventory of my whole party - and found none of them to be carrying the missing resource. This caused me to sit and watch the cotton production window during harvest, and sure enough, each new ball of fluff overwrites the previous.

Is anybody else finding the same thing?

I think this is intentional, have a look at the yield percentage on the cotton farm. Mine tells me 10% so it's not even worth my time farming it, I believe it has to do with where the farm is i.e desert, swamp etc.

It is a bit too harsh imo right now though so maybe not a bug per se but it's not exactly balanced.

Ah, I see - so it basically just grows, but the yield is so poor I get nothing? Well, at least this makes sense. Thank you.
