One of my workers that was starving ran to go grab some food, she grabbed 4 loafs of bread, the second a new batch was put into the basket she then ran over and grabbed another 9 loafs. It seemed to only affect her, if it helps at the time she was set to permenant job at a clothing workbench so I'm not sure if that caused her to keep grabbing more bread while she was in a starving state.

This might be related to the trigger for gathering food. So long as she is under the range for "gather food", she will continue to gather, regardless of if she's got that up arrow or not.. Aslong as she's under 250, she'll just keep grabbing more and more food..
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory: 16Gb
AMD Radeon R9 390 Series

Yeah it's a bit annoying since they hog all the food, although from what I see they also seem to return excess food to the bin and hold onto what they need. Although when you have multiple people starving or hungry it becomes an annoying thing to micromanage since one person steals all the food for themself and wont share it until they're well fed.

Seems to have been fixed in the latest patch but I probably wont be playing until they fix the bug where furniture rips itself.

That's been fixed in this patch. Due to how that bug worked, you'll not get any fix for your missing furniture though, unless the devs modify your savegame directly.

The bug was related to saving, not loading. If you saved your game in 0.91.8, then it did not save the furniture. It's permanently gone; No longer in your save file. You'll need to rebuild it.
