When did I say that? Did you misquote somewhere?
Having the ability to name slaves after capture would be hilarious.

yes giveing a ranged weapon to someone that probobley hates you is the best idea evertoaster Assassin wrote:Stationary turrets, harpoon guns and bows.

That sounds awesome. I'd like to have different tactical options how to achieve victory.Phaser Rave wrote: The player would then have to maintain their low willpower, to keep their spirits broken.
Alternatively, the player could help the slaves of his enemy revolt by raising their willpower. He could do this by offering help with his army, thinning the enemy population, passing out weapons, giving speeches, and spreading ideas of revolt.

Also spreading new religion to town to make some of them to revolt and possibly make a revolution to weaken their defense before me attacking the town. Surrounding towns and cutting their food supplies to make them hungry etc...

Sure, and why not pay for someone to do undercover jobs. Little ninja spy who would break enemies turret guns. And get to control over town by doing politics and being elected as their leader. Of course if you are bad leader, they might rebel. Burning down farms? Killing cattle? Dig a tunnel behind your enemies?gruber12 wrote:maybe offering food to starving bandits to have them as a work force
I agree with this.Blxz wrote:A little complicated sounding. I will admit I didn't read the wall of text. Although I do think slaves should not be very productive. They are unwilling workers at best, actively against you at worst. They should be a source of labour that is free but difficult and at times risky to manage.
EDIT: Also I am wary about putting our modern morality into the game. Up until the last few hundred years slavery was a normal practice. it wasn't considered good or bad, in much the same way that owning livestock is neither good or bad. Mistreating your property (slaves/cows/etc.) was frowned upon but actually owning them wasn't.
Not that I advocate slavery, I find it disgusting, but forcing morality into games just seems so...I don't know, so 'bioware'..... if you catch my meaning.
Sorry, what? I cant even think of a single EA game where any kind of morality system originated. Unless Harry Potter has it, or their Syndicate game has one that the original did not.iSuck345 wrote:If ANYONE ever mentions morality sense and puts it into gaming, I'm going postal on the entire EA staff.

Well those systems were developed in earlier titles produced by another company (EA just did not cut it out when they took over). EA is a producer, not a developer... however, they certainly influence their games (ie Dragon age II vs I). And of all the titles, they have never originated a morality system...to my knowledge. My point is, that associating EA with morality systems is erroneous. It is a Bioware thing, or an Origin thing and a Fallout thing. I cant imagine EA advocating for any elaborate system, that just isn't their thing.DrSalvador wrote: dragon age, mass effect, etc
well they were talking about morality and mentioned bioware, and those games have tons of moral stuff...so yeahScotterius wrote:Well those systems were developed in earlier titles produced by another company (EA just did not cut it out when they took over). oh wait that KOTR mmo maybe, I dont know.

All games as it is are producers of morality does not mater if he wants to or not, i think its a bonus to have a game woried with morality and concience of your actions like bioware does, and i hope chris is very carefull with this slavery thing, at least make them show how sad, miserable and angry slaves are so if a kid (and yes kids will play it, parents dont care for age restrictions) with unformed morals and half ass TV knowledge plays the game and decide that its fun to make a slave out of every one at least he gets to see how fucking evil he is and how he is making people misarable.Blxz wrote:A little complicated sounding.
