Does anyone know what that button next to the output is in, for example, the stone mine?

@MAtt50 --- I haven't tested them yet, but Training Dummies mkII and mkIII exist, though the latter is not accessible in the default (I posted a little mod that had a research to unlock them in the "why no research level 3" thread). They might be better than the usual get yourself beaten up tactic

Ah, the issue there is when are you going to use high tech training dummies, by the time you get them you'll probably have a decent fighter or two who can back up your weaker fighters and make sure they survive, getting even more skill.

It feels a bit too easy at the moment, mainly because you can just set things up then let it run to get infinite building materials and everything else. The problem isnt that you can do this, the problem is that bandits dont really seek to harass you, and you very rarely have a bandit group wander by so there's not much you need to be looking at the game for during this time of building up. I think it will work out alright once that sort of higher level AI and awareness is in the game, just a comment for now.

This isn't new to 0.39, but you're right. I played a game with 10 recruits in 0.33, and a bunch of construction materials. By the time i'd built the outpost and the training dummies, it almost wasn't worth it anymore. Speed up the training about 20x, and it might become useful to give recruits a kickstart

Hi, i'm back :D First of all i have a lot of fun with these test build and i cant wait for 0.40 to be bug-free :D

The "crashDump0.39.1" happened when i tried to demolish my small shake (from previous update) Shack had problem from very first time i build it (when character goes in the shack the roof doesn't disappear, only way i can look inside is thru doors (roof only disappears when character opens the dor but after few seconds the roof appears again)

I have tried two times to demolish the shack but every time program crashes (around 30 seconds in the demolish progres). any idea what to do or is problem in the code?

At the moment, deconstructing any partially or fully built gates or shacks results in a crash. See this thread. http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... 794#p18794

Pressing "s" seems to bring up the stats menu. Bit irritating bug but doesn't make it unplayable.

Hi

i have a problem with the towns, towns are empty... now i am wondering if i start a new game & import units and buildings.

Is this advisable or not, taking in account that i'm playing on test build release???
i would hate to lose my game progress.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

how the F... didn't i thought of save backup (it happens when i over think simple stuff hehe) tenx "Mattk50"
and i started a new game with units & buildings import. (only problem was some stuf were missing like swords and armor from my containers and couple of walls) but that is not so bad :D

If you're playing on the test build and you care about your save, you should probably have a backup. Simply go into your kenshi folder and add the "saves" folder to a zip, and theres your backup

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I get a crash whenever I start up 0.39.1 version of Kenshi, I don't have the dump zip since it was corrupted and when I deleted it, it never came back so I will upload the dump file in a zip instead.

hmm, are you pressing any keyboard buttons? Pressing any key before you have started the actual game will result in a crash. http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... =15&t=2740

No button pressing, all I do is press ok for the options, it loads a black screen then i hear the error sound and Kenshi has crashed. Also a reinstall didn't help for me.

That and make sure you have a research bench and a worker operating it. This took me a bit to figure out.

As to the bandits never attacking you thing, i spawn in as the settlers, the ones with all the building mats and half the time am immediately attacked by bandits which leads to everyone dieing XD
Since the area they spawn in is between 4 towns i built up the base there which gets attacked by wandering bands of bandits quite abit, anyway on to the bugs!.

1. Building objects/buildings so on causes all doors in the area/world?, to close.

2. walls have some issues connecting to other prebuilt walls and unbuilt/unsupplied walls act like built ones (keeping enemy's out and us in).

3. once you have enclosed the town with a wall and a gate, when you try to move/build/work or otherwise order your units they will immediately go to the gate/unlock and open it, and wont do anything else unless there either beside it or the gate is open, i have also tested this with a double wall and a second outer gate, the outer enclosed area with the closed gate causes same (we wont do nothing till we open gate) function wile the ones in the inner area with the open gate are unaffected, you cant even tell them to move from the outer to inner area, they still go for gate. (interesting side note the ones in the inner part run around like crazy when enemys are near but don't actuly move to the outer area to open gate/attack)

4.enemy's outside the basic wall can engage people on the other side of the wall, they just stand next to it and attack each other.

5. when you load a saved game all workers will just be standing there instead of still working, more a minor annoyance then anything :P

The only other issue ive found is one that has already been mentioned with the advanced traders not selling anything/being lootable, also the innkeepers wont sell anything, they have no interactivity even though they have "stock" right beside them so i know they should sell it :P
Anyway that's all i got so far, ill see what else i can discover as i build it up, though i also agree with the whole researching/production times should be lengthened.
