TF2 hats

Would it be possible for the alpha players to get special hats for TF2 later when the game is released? I would love a limited edition hat.

i have so many hats and shit from other games\preorders i'd be sad to get new ones as i'd never be able to show them. so i hope not, lol

Hats killed TF2 for me. TF2 is 30% enjoyable FPS and 70% hatconomy. If there were pre-order anything, I'd rather see something in the game. Like a sword with similar stats to something else in the non-alpha-buyer version that has a special story/model (i.e. non-game-changing).

Not everyone plays TF2 either or cares for FPS games.

Maybe i don´t understand, but do modding not rule out the idea of special stuff for first one to buy a game?
