Well, I wanted to replace my farm with the new ore mine, but as soon as my worker finished the job the farm dissappiered and the game paused. I thought it wass because updating the place so I let it be. Unfortunatly it stayed that way. The whole program freezed and i couldn't do anything(not even move with cursor).

I loaded my save game again and tryied ctrl+shift+F11 and the exact thing happened.
So i think the problem is in this.

thanks for reading and sorry for my english

Could you post the quicksave file for Chris to reproduce this issue?

I have been having the same issue and this issue is also extending into building any new objects (tried large house, work bench V and weapon craft bench III).

Occasionally my game will not load either, and the typical load time is over 5 mins. I did not have the loading issues until after the update.

I will be attaching my quicksave.

Thanks for uploading your save, Muddledde, I have the very same issue since the last update.

The game freezes when I try to build or dismantle anything (building, storage, etc.), and no crashdump is generated.

Oddly enough, I can upgrade existing elements (mine, research bench) without any problem.

I have tried with other old saves, and the problem persists.

Ctrl+Shift+F11 freezes the game too, as mentioned in the OP.

EDIT : A new game importing my squad and buildings doesn't solve the problem, by the way.

Just throwing this out there, but you do know that the game DOES freeze and pause after you dismantle a building. It has to update the game. I am assuming that it has to write to each person in your faction to make sure their next AI situation doesn't involve use of the building/item you just removed from the world. It literally will freeze the game and can take 10 seconds to maybe a minute on the high end.

One thing I see much these days is when a game goes into LOAD mode, people INSTANTLY get bored and try to ALT tab out or do something ELSE with their computer. Many times this can result in a crash or other weird issue because the game is already in a critical state of loading data. I am JUST curious if you maybe alt tabbed out of the game which might of triggered the crash.

No problem makou. I forgot to mention, in detail, the same issues, but thank you for being more clear then myself.

Gamerphate,
I don't now about anybody else, but I usually give up after about 20-30 mins of it "loading" or being paused because it is "updating." I am a patient individual, and like to ensure I go through most, if not all variables, before I reach out for help/assistance. This is not an issue of impatiences.

I'm sorry for you guys, that you have the same issue. And thanks for reminding me to post save game when bugg reporting(I didn't know it was possible), so i'm posting it now.

And for the record, I waited over 10 mins for unfreeze. (i would like to have Muddledde's patience)

Took a look at Prachen's game, it is freezing. I noticed you have walls in there though- maybe that could be causing the problem?

There are walls in mine as well. I actually created, on my first try, a connecting, non overlapping, wall around my base. The only issue I have had with it so far, is that my guys always want to open the gate whenever they attempt to accomplish any goals inside the walls. I assume that it is a path finding issue. If the issue is with the walls, it wasn't a problem until this last update.

I believe I attached an incomplete save file, so I am now attaching a complete save file, one that will hopefully offer more assistance.
