[0.44] Operating machinery from further away?

Not going to post this as a bug report, as it doesn't seem to be a malfunction nor an issue.

Has anyone noticed that since the 0.44 patch, your squad member can operate the stone mine (mine is a stone mine 1 currently) from a LOT further away than before?
This isn't happening on the Well 1, Small Farm, Stone Processor 1, Ore Mine 1, nor Rum Still.

Funny that you mentioned that, my squad members can do that before .44 update. i have yet to update because I am trying to investigate what items will remain and what items were taken remodeled. I had 5 people working on mines inside the my building next to storage boxes. they never went outside unless a bandit got to close. This is quiet annoying though, you can sometimes lock the doors and they will continue to mine, or they will open it immediately. This didn't just happen with the stone mine for me, it also occurred with the iron mine.

This was happening outside for me.
Its apparent that there has to be some other building nearby the mine for it to occur though, such as a Stone Processor right next to it causing them to deliver the stone and then continue mining from in front of the processor.
Its hard to reproduce this issue with a new game, I'm finding out x.x
