I started a new game after the update yesterday and noticed that several times I would be in the process of looting a bandit and they would disappear while the loot windows were open, taking their loot with them. This happened on about three occasions during 4-5 engagements. I would be looting immediately after the fight, so I don't think they are despawning normally. I had never noticed this before the update. I was lurking around Clownsteady and I noticed this with both Dust and Hungry bandits.

looks like the time between despawn has moved, maybe to remove game clutter faster, not sure
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

I also noticed that bodies are disappearing very quickly. From what I've seen it looks like they are removed from the game shortly after they die (seconds). But I'm not seeing nearly as many NPCs recover and limp away after a fight either.

It makes looting a pain and it takes away from the feel of the game.

In the beginning of the game, bodies disappeared for me very quickly. I had to make a mad-dash to loot. And if I had to run back to town to sell, they were for-sure gone when I got back to get the rest.
The guards hit them pretty hard and they would die quickly. But when you fight an enemy, it doesn't always "die" right away... they can heal while laying there. Later in the game, when I was fighting higher-level guys out in the desert rather than near the city walls, the bodies would lay there a lot longer. Sometimes the enemies would heal and actually stand up. Because they weren't "dead," just passed-out like friendlies are in battle before you heal them.

So if you are fighting and your enemy is dead-dead, they despawn quickly. But if you just knock them out, they can recover after a while and stand up.

I would still like a throttle on how quickly bodies decay. If a computer has better graphics, the player, like me, may prefer to have dead bodies lay there longer so I don't have to rush to loot. Or if your computer has graphics issues, make them decay faster to improve performance. Make it a display option like shadows and texture level.

I agree with this comment. It would be nice for people to be able to choose with a slider how long bodies last.
