Key wont work for new computer

Hey I bought kenshi to play on my laptop right after the steam keys came out, i bought the game on lofi games. A couple of months ago I bought a new computer and this was the first game i wanted to play it on, the key I got for the laptop wont work on my computer, it keeps telling me its an invalid key, can someone please help me i would love to play this game and watching it improve makes me miss it so much.

What do you mean? Once you have entered the steam key you should be able to play it without re-entering the key...

if still having issues manually add the key on steam
it will say + ADD A GAME
little popup will come up
click Activate a Product on Steam
then enter your key
it should active your copy of Kenshi

Its not that i have to re enter the key, its that i got a new computer, and i downloaded the demo and tried inserting the key from there, and it doesn't work, and i bought the game off of lofi games, not steam.

sorry if i confused you guys with the steam thing, after the steam keys were launched i bought the game, but not off of steam, off of lofigames.com, i just realized how confusing that was, sorry.

you can activate your key on steam if you have it.
is another option open for yea

Ah. I see now... Well, if you have an account I suggest you activate it in steam. Then you could play it on any computer. Maybe the key can be activated only one time on one computer if you enter it straight to the demo thing.

I just tried entering my key into the steam product activation and it still says the key is unavailable, any other suggestions please? and if i may ask, how would i contact Chris if i find no other solution?

Reasons you might get invalid key errors:

-You have a super old name-key pair (not you, because you bought after steam)
-You are somehow copy-pasting it wrong, missing a number etc.
-I gave you a custom generated key (eg you lost your key and needed a new one or you won it in a contest)
-It was a refund or the stolen key going around on pirate websites

If its none of the above send me your key by PM so I can have a look at it
