Haven't seen Marcuss2 in a long time so he might not be here to update the post.

Ghost towns and ruins
I think it would be interesting to implement some ghost towns and/or ruins into the map. Purpose would be to scavenge and loot leftover stuff and/or occupy and build your outpost with the already existing buildings or maybe destruct the buildings and get resources out of it (building materials and other essentials).
Something else I think would make it more realistic, if the peoples would need sleep, rest, food and water to survive. It would also make farms and wells more interesting to build.
What do you think?

Hi to start things off I would like to say I am new to the forum, but not the game. I would also like to go ahead and congratulate everyone who had a helping hand in this project, I myself have started video game design and know the cruel fact that it is a very tedious and hard task, especially for a game of this scale.
I have gone through and read a lot of the posts (trying to not repeat/spam an idea), and have a few features that I think would add just a little extra kick to an already good game.
First off cities and bases are very cool, and although they are a little ruff around the edges they still are one of my favorite parts of the game. However there are some features that I think that could be added to add to these structures. Adding stairs or some other form of transportation to the upper walls and second story buildings in the cities. I believe this would not be a huge task as far as design. Also I have already seen ramps implicated inside buildings, a greater scale version of these for walls and second story access would be great. With your future ranged weapon update having the ability to station men armed with ranged weapons would give cheap and easy defensive abilities to players who have just started making their bases.
Secondly it seems you have chosen a very unique genre for your game. From my own observations and opinions (which can be wrong
), it seems you have chosen a cross between fantasy and sci fi, almost like a post apocalyptic steam punk. Again I only get this from observations like the gas masks on the hat stores, the use of electricity ( obviously), and the use of explosives aka charges. The point in this feature is to really amp up the feel of your genre. I have seen posts about abandoned cities, different stylizations in cities, even the idea of visible mechanical systems throughout the map. These are all good ideas that could really add to the more drab outside environment, without making you shorten and shrink up the map.
Thirdly, I would like to include an idea shared in many if not a majority of posts, animals. I read ideas from pets, to monster, to horses, to even robot npcs. Personally I too think the addition of other animal npcs hostile or not, would be a great idea. It would add more variety, more challenges, maybe even advantages. I've seen many giant skeletons while having my lowly troop blaze a trail to the next city. Give life to theses bones give them a story, have them mean something more than a static mesh to please the eyes and to break up the environment.
Lastly, ( jease long post) variety, players live for the variety in their games. No one wants to go on the same exact quest kill the same exact people or monsters, people want to see change. Now that being said I don't want to rag on you, with every update you include more variety and you update constantly at a pace that I would not have expected. This idea is not a feature as much as it is a reminder to you to not forget about variety as you go through your updates. A new hair style, a new weapon type or skin, maybe even the inclusion of female characters? Just adding in any of these small things with every update even if the update is just to fix bugs would really add to the game. I think I speak for other players when I say we enjoy the customizations, the uniqueness, or even the ability to make the game our own. After all "variety is the spice of life".
Again to summarize great job, keep working, your making a game that I thought to be impossible. These are just some personal ideas and features that I think (after reading many a post) the community wants and would enjoy. Again I know that video game design is not the easiest thing in the world ( to say the least), but the addition of just some of these small factor would really shine greatly in your game. Remember its the little things
Well that's it I guess keep playing, support the cause, and game makers keep up the hard work

The "entrance" to the second floor is planned, i remember to read something about it around somewhere from Chris, and now that you mention, i had in mind you could already go up citty walls, at least i had in mind see somewhere you could.
And animals are planned, i just dunno if they will be hostile or not, just know pack mules whatever animal will be will be friendly for sure, at least for a point.
And seems he lately do that of adding new stuff with update, females coming with next one, together with beards and a weapon, while last one added more hats.

i can see youre new to forums. you have to post this in a section, such as feature requests.. and before you do that, search your ideas in the search bar. we dont want twenty requests of the same thing.LonerWolf wrote:Hi to start things off I would like to say I am new to the forum, but not the game. I'd like to suggest something that has more to do with aesthetics, change the way someone looks when running depending on their ability, for example if your athletic level is low it will look like normally seen, but when it is high could be seen like this
it would be cool
it would be coolit could be just mine crazy idea, but i thought it would be really great to add drag'n'drop system to character panel so i could rearrange hotkeys from 1 to 9 upon those squad members as i want, not the game time needed me to. For example, in start scenario "Freedom Seekers" the member called Old Soldier is definitely more important than characters from 2 till 4 and in future i can find really good fighters and I want to have a possibility to call them quickly, not the useless researchers or farmers... I may be not really understandable, 'cause English is far not my native (i commonly use Cyrillic), but i hope you'll get my mind.
Ok, Im pretty much dead with this post, as there is (changed) red text, moderators, make it available to everyone for changing, there are so many posts, so not even Chuck Norris could have make it out.
PS: Add Chuck Norris into game as rare character, with all attributes and skills set to 100 (Make him appear as enemy if player tries to cheat)

Ok I know I am new to this game but by looking at what has been created. I would assume this idea is some were in the works just is not seen as a top priority as of yet. As for the posts I seen not only in this thread but others. I kinda take the location as a Trigun kinda thing but with out guns. If you do not know what Trigun is go look up some anime.
as more of the game is going to develop there is a slight chance that survival is actually going to be a thing you focus on. (my guess at least)
with the already (okay) functioning system of assigning jobs there could also be a "necessities" tab like that. there maybe you could assign a specific bed for them to sleep in at night, or a place where they get their food and water. so it could basicly be automated like the other things.
also sometimes i really miss a x8 speed button (i figured that >=x1 and >>=x2 and >>>>=x4)
i don't know if that would be very heavy on the computer. But i guess it would be really dangerous to use if precautions aren't taken
edit:
one more idea regarding the necessities: junk storage assignment

if you want to try your hand at it go for it.
i tried it once for the Steam Forum. just updating the current list was a enough of a pain to make me not to want to do any more.
