I don't know if anything about this has been figured out yet, but with some careful observation, i've discovered a bit about how this works.

Firstly, in order to send someone flying, they must be unconscious. Once someone has waken up, you can safely put them down.

Secondly, I have discovered how to direct the projectile.

Firstly, what happens is, the catapult bug seems to keep track of where the unit was picked up. And using that, once released, it fires the body in that direction. Depending on how far you walk away from that location, the further they will fly.

With some practice, I have managed to fling a group of cannibals from their camp, into the gauntlet of crossbows at my gate, which await their awakening.

I'm jealous of your gate so far I have not succeeded in creating a straight one and have only been able to create gates in a reverse V shape (where the top of the V is the gate :P).

For now it could be funny to use as you said flinging enemies from one side of the map into your own camp. But eventually I suppose it will be fixed.

I've found that this configuration is <3

There are 18 crossbows that at no point can shoot eachother, and can fire at the enemy all the way up until they pass through the gate. But having the gate closed, things die off pretty fast.

I don't really mean the configuration of the crossbows or something (altough that is helpfull) I mean the way only way I got my gates to connect to walls properly is not straight and freaking ugly :p.

(it's my first base so yeah the gate looks freaking ugly I still need to get a feel on how to properly connect walls to a gate)

In that way I'm jealous of your gates.

Best way to do it, is to build one wall, then build the gate at the end of the wall, then continue to build the opposite side off the gate.

Rather than building walls first, and then trying to stick the gate between them.

When my team mates are wounded, unconscious or comatose, I go and pick them up,but when I go to put them down they go flying (literally). I have to zoom out to see where they go, then try again.

Needless to say I can't get the pick up and put down to work.

This problem only occurs INSIDE buildings.

-----
Another potential glitch I ran into was when I had a teammate with severe leg damage. I was trying to move my entire team outside of a building. All except the person with the injured leg went outside with ease. The injured guy stayed behind until his leg was entirely healed.

BlackBeach,
Happy to help with development

My bad about the repost.

I'll try to use the catapult glitch for some good times, though. Thanks for the link.

This happens to me also. My main character was knocked out and in a recovery coma, so I got another member to pick her up and bring her back to the gates at the mercenary base. Each time (I did it three times, just to check lol) she ended up hanging about 100 feet in the air, far away from where I right clicked to put her down... Then she slowly fell like a ragdoll, back on the ground. I don't like that I just have to leave my people out lying in the desert while in a coma
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat, "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.... otherwise you wouldn't have come here."

I was thinking about it today, and because of this bug, I guess Throwing People (Serious Suggestion Presented Jokingly) is kinda halfway implemented now. :D
