Well, it seems we've finally made it to a stage that we are stable. No more random crashes.
~YAY!
So, what's next?
I was hoping to get Chris on this thread to tell us what he was working on now.

bug fixes, and making the game stable. Thats all I'm focusing on for now.
After that I need to add to the AI some more, and add some basic job/mission giving, like caravan work, mercenary missions etc.

I am glad to see that you chose stability as your current primary focus, it is also good to see so many patches already implemented ( My game finally stopped crashing). I'd rather have a solid game foundation early than a bunch of features having a seizure ( more features = more bugs, good start with solid foundation than build upon that). Looking forward to missions...mercenary missions
(Capital is now completely screwed.

Hi.
Just bought the game. Even though its a bit of a time waster for now, i can definitely see the potential for something great.
However, any idea regarding development time line or is there like an update schedule that we can get? I was hoping to get a few people hooked on it but at the moment only core indie fans will support this (even if its at a bargain price). A release timeline may help, plus it also give us something to look forward to.
Keep up the good work ma man.

i looked at the front page and one question i have is. if you made one of your guys a cannibal will he be able to act like a normal cannibal and perhaps eat someone or something unique like that?
That would be sweet... No more wasting time at inns, Boss brings packaged portable food and cannibal chows on the fallenwazupwolfff wrote:i looked at the front page and one question i have is. if you made one of your guys a cannibal will he be able to act like a normal cannibal and perhaps eat someone or something unique like that?

I wasnt going to make cannibals a playable race, but maybe if you were starving you could have the option of eating a body, then once a character gets a taste for human flesh they have to keep eating it from then on. Kinda like Oblivions vampirism. or fallouts drug addiction.
As much as that's a pain to control, seems like one of the few fun(read: best)game balance methods.Chris_The_Great wrote:I wasnt going to make cannibals a playable race, but maybe if you were starving you could have the option of eating a body, then once a character gets a taste for human flesh they have to keep eating it from then on. Do you think that it'll be possible for us once we reach the point of cannibalism that another squad of ours or a faction member gives us intense "humanization therapy"(A good beating with "Stop eating human flesh! Get some sense! People are starting to hate you!" and other inspirational words) to cure us from said disease?
And then once we're cured... It could be like a hidden value dictating how easy or quick will it take for the 'cured' character to go back and eat human flesh, even that of his allies like hell embodied in the worst withdrawal symptoms.
If not... I'm looking forward to modding it in

Or maybe there's a cure potion (for example hidden in a cave full of said human-eaters)
I remember that in oblivion there was a cure for vampirism that you had to get some ingredients for... was a real pain in the @$$

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.
Need help? pm me or any other mod.

If that's the deal, I hope the potion can be researched... Would be a bad thing if Kenshi got added to tvtropes' "Too good to use" games page of highly sought after items with Uncle Ken's Anti Cannibalism Juice* starting a rant
Oh and a research-able potion would make it quite a nice option to have a malnourished beast capable of slaughtering an entire police force with Kenshi-related riot gear and tear gas ("Old man's smelly rice" anyone?).
"Sir, the Leet-ed ones are going to attack! We need to get you to an allied fortress while we hold them off, for they far outnumber us and are ever so strong"
"Release...*Inhale* The beast"
*Cannibals beGone, now with an extra clippings of Death's beard! could be an alternative name.

An army of midget cannibals.
(ill-tempered midget cannibals).

Maybe it would be more in the style of the Midgets from Borderlands?
*Insert witty remark here*
