so i just took my fastest guy/scout, ran into a nest of beak things, stole an egg, and ran the f*** out again. and i was wondering, considering the feature of breeding animals or training them is not an implemented feature yet. would it be in my best interest to throw the egg away in case it might hatch and eat me, or just keep it? can they actually hatch now or is my hopes of making this my leader's warmount when the time is right legit?

don't know where you read that
but the no mounts has been confirmed for a while to not be added to the game.

Chris actually did say that earlier this week I think. Don't know exactly where he said it though (steam is currently crashing for me).

He said he was thinking of making the animals mountable.

Edit: found it, top post of Poll: Animals in your squad

Only fair if they can mount the players squad as well. Imagine the fun of being subdued and ridden into battle by a beak thing.
