I think that they're still in development, maybe the next update will add building and shop ownership to Kenshi.

PS: I haven't had a chance to try out any update after a11, I no longer have access to that gaming laptop so until a pre-built gaming rig arrives at my door, Kenshi's not running on this 2005-junk. :(

you cant build right now. This will be added later.
here's what's supposed to come in the next weeks/months updates (plus bugfixes and the like): Sleeping + healing -> leading to carrying your wounded -> leading to buying buildings -> research + crafting

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Need help? pm me or any other mod.

I'll be looking forward to the carrying the wounded part. It will be interesting though if most of the people in your party are rolling on the ground and there's only one able person to carry them all.

Assuming your characters will eventually be carrying around gear for building camps and surviving in the wilderness I can't imagine building a sling or stretcher of some sort would be too far fetched.

How will running a faction actually work? If you've built a city/outpost and such. Will you still control every single unit (I guess you will have a few merc's by then)? Will traders come to trade with you? Will bandits attempt to raid? Can you put up defenses? Automated turrets? Will there be minerals to to mine, a strategy where you put your outpost?

I love the idea of running your own faction, but how will it be executed? I guess it can be rather annoying to try and control 100 units at the same time

I think its pretty much as you just described it, except the turrets fire harpoons.

I don't think the developer would let you control every person if you built a town. A stronghold, then you should control them all as they are your soldiers. But a town with people, if that actually gets implemented, would be filled with NPC's living under your rule....maybe. Otherwise it just sounds like micromanaging hell.

+1

hopefully you can assign them duties and they become NPcs with those predefined duties. like soldiers will patrol the walls and fight and you dont have to worry about it. the only thing i can compare it to is the auto control for cities in the total war games.

wonder if these towns generate Kats for you as well...?
