I believe there was a topic about animals for transportation, but I think Christ is leaning towards no? If he is, that's kinda weird, but it's his decision I guess. Maybe mounted combat is something he'd rather not focus on.
I don't know if anyone has brought up attack dogs or animals yet, though. It would be kinda awkward to fight with the current mechanics, at least, since I can't imagine they would block.
Wildlife of sorts would be nice though, and maybe hunting them for profit or survival could come into play.

animals and *CENSORED* need models, animations, new code, and then to fit into the combat system. Its a big job and far down my list at the moment.
Completely understandable. As the guy above me said, hunting animals (maybe near an oasis?) for food and furs for profit would be nice. Raising livestock would be pretty cool too, and attack animals would be superb. Not to mention *CENSORED*, cause that would be the bee's knees if you had *CENSORED*.Chris_The_Great wrote:animals and *CENSORED* need models, animations, new code, and then to fit into the combat system. I love ponies more then most things. Only thing I love more is my grandparents.

Boo for the bad pun, but cows, chickens and donkeys might be nice, with feral wolves being a risk aswell.
*Insert witty remark here*
If this were implemented, Monster Hunter players sick of the MMORPG's rules to block non-Japanese IP addresses would flock to Kenshi once "Kenshi - Monster Hunter mod REVISED!" or some other mods were created.OzyTheSage wrote:Wildlife of sorts would be nice though, and maybe hunting them for profit or survival could come into play.
I thought it was a wasteland until an Artist was hired?codyo wrote:Probably won't see horses, oxen and dogs. The wasteland has no vegetation at all, but camels and the occasional rabbit seem suitable.

Considering that it's a desert wasteland, it's safe to assume that Oasis would be around. And wells. And farms (How else would people live?)codyo wrote:Probably won't see horses, oxen and dogs. The wasteland has no vegetation at all, but camels and the occasional rabbit seem suitable.

I did as well. I though there would be multiple biomes of sorts. At least I hope there will be. There's a reason I'm sick of deserts in modern games.Barooney wrote:I thought it was a wasteland until an Artist was hired?
I would be greatly pleased the day I can walk to the wasteland with my faithful st bernard by my side.
And if this game is going to include eating stuff then wildlife for hunting is almost a must
