I might do, but thats IF they ever get into the game. I would need all the models and animations, need to modify the code a bit, and I would have to figure out how to make them fight. Animals would look weird if they used the same combat code as people.

true. i know that putting them into the game will take time, but i also think they would mix up the gameplay.

NOOOOO! Brink was annihilated by the dust bandit's army of emus (ill-tempered emus) sadly,my wombat never made it out alive  Pets would be interesting, but their purpose/uses/types would have to be justified in such a way that it fits into the Kenshi style.

if your pets limb falls past-100 does it need robo parts? (cyber mutt?).

If you pet blackouts after a fight would there be an animation for a person carrying it.

Inventory,interface and your pet.

pet items like armor or backpacks?

factions?

As long as it fits the Kenshi format I am all for it.

Are you saying that the future of hamsters is that of an AI

The comic had a laptop simulating an animal (with downloadable souls ( I just sold its soul on e-bay)) in a hamster ball. Would this be an example of an robot-implant for your pet or a build-a-pet idea? The biggest problem would still be finding the animal animations.

Anyway, here is a video of a robot controlled by living brain cells of a rat.

I would rather see wildlife simply as an emergency food source while you wander. Of course would like to see animals eating the dead as well. Circle of life and all

As a monster hunter player, i would like if you could take/loot elements from the animals you kill for crafting. Say for example you have to collect some dragon bones for that badass sword you've been wanting to craft/swing around.

You should always proofread carefully to make sure you didn't any words out.

Need help? pm me or any other mod.

Would be good for the hunter/gather aspect. Also would add more content to missions, animal part collecting could require a hunter skill.

Pack animals would be nice, as well as attack dogs. You would have to have animal handling skills however, otherwise bad things would happen.....

Before we start wondering about having animals as pets, shouldn't we worry about having animals? I mean it might turn out their all hideous space beasts that no one would ever want as a pet.

Though with the right sorts of animals, I would be all for having attack animals or pets.

Now that animals are in the game the creator could go MLG and add a timeline to animals. After like say 1 year of days or so (not realistic but w/e) bandits or cannibals could start locking them up or something, (maybe some other way that sounds mean idk) somewhat taming them but unpredictable. 2 years they start walking around the map with them following the squads (NPC or PLAYER) (skill for taming comes in?). Around 3 years it is very common to see squads and even towns with dogs as bodyguards or pets... Sounds crazy I know but wouldn't that be so awesome?

So turns out the animals are all hideous space beasts...

... It also turns out that everyone wants them as pets. I know I sure do.

Well from what I learned all dogs came from wolves that were more passive and lived off the human's leftovers. That being said I think there should be a small % of wild animals that are passive, but need to stay in the pack to survive. When the Alpha male dies, and no other can take its place, the dog will stay with you simply out of the need to live, that is if you feed it. After it trusts you you can put a harness on it to ensure it will become one of your own members. (or not if you think it does not need a harness) Perhaps even make armor for it?

Thanks for successfully implementing pets as characters. I just recently started my first playthrough of the game, and chose the boy with a dog option, and it's been great. If the ability to capture and tame animals is in the game, I haven't found a way to do it, but I'd sure like to try that.
