Ability to "place" objects.

I'm trying to drop items such as barrels of water in the corner of a house.
They seem to just drop horizontally closest to where the character is standing without the ability to stand it up or move it where I want it.

If this exists, please advise how to.
If not, please implement this.

Dropping things seems hit or miss but you can build a storage for water tank for water, then your characters who need water will automatically go and retrieve it from the tank for things like cooking, brewing, farming.

if you have a manual well your character running it will auto haul water to the storage tank when the well storage is full.

If you have an auto well then you need to select the auto haul option on the storage tank and your character will gather water from all sources.
