Bigger squads

Is that possible to make squads bigger than 10 ppl? It didn't bother me at the beginning but on late game with 30+ characters it becomes really annoying that I'm not able to select them all at the same time. Moreover now when mining is almost fully automated I have many idle former workers. I wanted to create 20 ppl badass warriors squad but it turns out that it's really uncomfortable to give orders to 2 squads separately. I've been messing with forgotten construction set a little bit but I couldn't find anything about squads size there.
By the way. Why my warriors can't just simply train by beating each other? Sparring is basic of the basic of every melee fighting training and it would make training my town guards so much easier.

When you have the FCS open, click global game settings on the top left. A window like the image below should pop up. What you are looking for is under Faction. Max squad size is the number you need to change.

Oh is the current max faction size default really that small? 30?

I modded that limit up long ago. now I have 127 people. I have the max set at 480, but considering the performance hit I take for 127, I don't think I'm growing my faction much from where it is.

My squad size is currently set at 24 - which made more sense before they decided to blow up all the squad member icons. I wish I knew how to mod the icons back the way they used to be.

Yes 10 member squads really are too small. In fact I question having a max squad size at all. A (far larger than 30) max faction size, sure. But let people organize their squads how they see fit. At least we can mod it, but I think that is a bad decision forced upon all those who don't have it in them to mod their games.

Fix for missing squad portraits in kenshi :

My squad size is currently set at 24 - which made more sense before they decided to blow up all the squad member icons. I wish I knew how to mod the icons back the way they used to be.

You only need to reimport your game (this doesnt seem to breack anything,, it didnt on my 80h game, and fixes most errors, like lost squad members (thers a kind message telling you to now), just make sure to check import research and buildings !
it fixes the dissapearing portraits in kenshi.

EDIT: new update should have fixed portraits panel !

best ever of its kind i played,i can feel the sense of perfection and love of details i saw only reached by the greatest modders of the Nexus.
my best bought of this year, at least !
