To make it short: i think there is a need of faster timeprogression, either by make the third gamespeed significantly faster or adding a forth significantly faster gamespeed.
There are quite a lot situatuions where i am not able to do anything (but look around) and it´s not so much fun to watch my char(s) slowly(in fastest gamespeed) heal to a active state. This occurs especially in the early game or if i´m just with one or few chars, as they often goes down, goes down together and critically. The amount of actual playtime is very low compared to the annoying heal-up-get-well waiting time. So actualy, my game is more waiting than anything else.
I wonder, isn´t anyone else annoyed of it as well? How do you feel about the spend time in game?

if i think about Banished, and the gamespeed options they gets later redunant because of the size of the City. The different gamespeedmodes (2x 3x 4x) throttle on their own down to the same basic speed of 1x or close to it slowly. Heh... hitting pause to scroll around !
Limitation of the engine would be a reason, maybe an API can't handle to fast stuff and throwout an error or the example above.
the game decrease the speed slowly on it own overthecourse of the game through To much informations, which it needs to manage ...

But, what could be a reason for not speed it up?
easy
the fast setting already puts computers at strain as the game is not optimized and it can cause errors at current faster then normal speeds.

I think I remember reading somewhere that we're going to get another sort of time option that skips ahead a specific amount, maybe measured in days and nights? I could be wrong....
