I've recently come back to playing Kenshi. When I read about the new map i decided to play again. However, I can't seem to make my 'Shop' work. I've got it stocked with Bread and some Greenfruit. But no one ever comes to buy. I get holy patrols and bandits wandering through from time to time but no customers.
Has it been disabled?
I know it never really worked that well, but, I loved being able to run my own shop. Although, it needed some lovin to make it better. For instance, it needed to allow us to 'Assign' someone to work the shop rather than just have someone standing inside the building and hope they didn't leave for some random reason.
Running our own shop no longer works?

Don't a lot of basic NPCs purchase certain types of items in shops?
I've been trying to keep an eye on what the guards are buying. I don't really want to spoil it with the fcs, but I get the sense medkits would be logical, along with food.

The issue is foot traffic.
You can still see people buying things in shops and it all still seems to work.
But with the holy nation area there is not a lot of none hostile foot traffic.
If you can find someone to visit your shop I'm sure that they would by stuff, but the trick is getting someone to show up.
I did see nomads wandering about the edges of the fog islands, and they seemed nice enough. Perhaps you can start there.

I set up a shop counter in mongrel, all the civlian npcs always go to buy stuff at the other general store though.
Running a shop never really worked well. It was always such low amounts that you managed to sell and traders coming to buy was always so rare. Hopefully one of these days its a bit more fleshed out.
