Hello =)

After playing around 100 hours of Kenshi with 40 person crew, 0.5 all rates and some difficulty adding mods i've noticed myself being tired of doing the same things again and again.

If it's just me - great then, i've missed gameplay elements, but i have the impression that this elements are missing.

1) Hostile humanoid looting automation
I didn't find the way to force my guys autoloot humanoids.
Maybe an automation with some sort of category could help - all items/equipement only/most valuable 3 items/weapons only

2) Auto refollow
When a unit is using [follow] mod
You give the unit a task [loot] (go loot dead doge)
The unit comes back automaticly to [follow] when the task [loot] is over

Same process for an automatic task. If unit is auto looting, it will auto loot and come back to the follow target when the task is over.

3) Auto loot spread
When looting with using a group leader (which is followed/guarded/other?), let the items automaticly spread in the bags of close enough group members. Same for shops.

4) Auto item distribution
When a unit has items(weapons) in it's inventory and finds appropriate storage (weapon chest) it stores automaticly the weapons into the chest. Maybe like a job?

5) Auto food++
An option for units to take more that 1 unit of food each time they go to the food storage.

6) Any other good idea that avoids you waisting time in repetitive tasks.

Even those automations on, a lot of management still remains everywhere =)
Atm operation big cities and large combat groups is a hell. I know the game is squad based, but it's also supposed to be played as a rts hybrid.

good ideas but i would list this post in feature requests.

not sure if you can use the FCS to mod player guys to auto follow
as for auto looting and stuff, not sure about that,..that would need to be coded in
I know you can make buildings and such fully auto using the FCS.
But most of that seems like it would need to be coded into the base game and scripted .

So, that's what i've feared. It wont be here before long.

Maybe some sort of allseyingeyeadmin could move this to feature requests? Or i'll simply ctrl+c/v this into feature requests?

Auto follow (and auto bodyguard) is already in the game, isn't it? Just select your squad and shift+click follow or bodyguard on the guy you want them to follow.

About looting, don't forget that it's a crime (unless it's wildlife I think) and if certain NPCs see you do it, you get a bounty. It might not be the best idea to automate it, since it'll probably confuse a lot of new players when they get thrown in prison because of it.

I did try right mouse and follow. But it never produced desired behavior. (Too many ppl to micro all the time)

Auto loot could bring confusion. What if it could be faction specific? Shift click a dust bandit and you autoloot only dust banits?

But it is easy put and remove an automation. When going to the wilds, autoloot ON, when approaching this or that faction OFF...

From my point of view, knowing nothing of how the game works, was trying to propose what's as close as possible to what i've already seen ingame, hoping it could be modded.

Seems to me, Kenshi is a pearl. Doesn't matter that it will never reach high poly level. It has tonns of potential that is unused due to the lack of simple functionnality, interaction.
Not talking about serious features, like ranged combat or maybe some kind of mounts, more simple things.

It's like an age of empires where you have to tell to each of your lumberjack what tree to cut (and do it again when the tree he was cutting has ended).

I wish to Kenshi a bugless, stable future.

Did you hold SHIFT while clicking follow?

Was pointing at what i did =)

I did notice your post, i will try anyway holding shift for other actions also, as if it changes follow, it may change other actions.
