In case the ingame currency is supposed to be digital, then I apologize in advance for a useless topic. :)

I think it would be thrilling to have a managable pile of money that you occasionally have to defend from thieves and such, if you dare to place it inside the "Cat Barrel". But the main reason I ask is, how odd it feels when you sell stuff in one town and spend the fresh money instantly in faraway places.

I know, money is handled globally in almost any other game, but since Kenshi is something very special from the ground up, it might add to the realism, immersion and it's uniqueness.

Please let me know what you think.

Oh, i believe it has been requested for so many times already. Would like to see it myself, but i believe it would add several difficulties, starting from money gauge itself and ending with "crap, this char is short on coin, gotta switch to another one, in diffirent part of town and trade some coins from second to first", or in short, another heap of unnecessary micromanagement :)

Possibly having some as loot drops, that go directly into the money pool. Then it's just of matter of balance figure out the right amount of reward.

If you check their Trello page, there is actually a "Money Inventory Item" planned. ;)

@Shidan Thanks for bringing the Trello page to my attention. I hope "Money Inventory Item" really means "getting rid of the omnipresent money pool" instead of just lootable money stacks in containers and NPC inventories as GrizzlyAdams mentioned (which will also be a nice addition).

@Sol Lignum You might be right, but I think it could be manageable depending on how it is implemented. The selected player character GUI should show the amount of money he's carrying, so you don't have to cycle through all character inventories.

A window that lists your characters, their wealth and their location would also be a great help in that regard. Or may be a portrait popup would be enough.

Or a proximity system, where all characters close to each other would share their money. If the trading character is out of cats, the next closest character would share the rest, if that's not enough and there's still company left, it goes on and on, within a reasonable radius of course.

I actually like the proximity idea it was what I was just coming here to propose. basically if the character is in the already defined trade range they share a money pool.
