I was thinking that it would be better if turrets mounted on walls had a 180 degree firing arch. Currently they are able to turn around and fire back into the compound, and this tends to lead to them shooting our own allies. I recently has one operator turn their harpoon inward and take out 3 other gunners with one shot that went straight down the top of the wall. It took out all of them
If turrets on walls could only fire 180 forward then that would not be a problem.
turrets mounted other places should maintain 360 firing, as that makes them more useful.
Perhaps there could be a switch that would allow the firing arc to be turned on and off as players preference.

better to base it off the view the Crenelation gives the gunner. as there is a limited field of view and area of effect for the gunner. 180 degrees would be to big of a field of view i believe.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.

Yeah firing arcs would be nice. though hopefully the animations get improved with it :p so they dont' shoot through their own torso o.o sometimes. but i think there should be various turret designs some with fixed arcs for walls some with somewhat less fixed Arc's for other places that might not be suirtabel for an arc.
Wanted to refresh this request as I just had a turret guard one shot kill the guy next to him.
He was firing down the wall at a spider outside and around a corner. No line of sight to the target.
Fired and dropped the guy on the next turret. he died before I saw he was down and no one tried to save him cause there was a fight going on.
If we can't have firing arcs, may be don't shoot unless you have a clear line of fire to the target.
Or don't shoot if your teammates are in the line of fire.

the LOS to the target is defiantly a must.
