Probably was requested a hundred times, but now with dismemberment cloth is useless (well, is good to identify vulnerable targets). I don't like to see every single person on my squad with the same armor, and that's the way it is now - and it's boring to look and find specific people in between battles.

Even better if we have a Padded (light) and Sneaky Chain (medium) for everything - with a way to upgrade a non-stat version of the item to a light or medium armor in order to not crowd too much the crafting menu. I guess lots of people can agree that Stout Hessian and even Worn-out Shorts looks way better than the cargo and half pants that already have the upgraded options.

And there is no reason to have a "padded" and "reinforced" version of the same item. If want to add something extra is better a "Sneaky Plate" as a heavy version than two that is almost the same (in fact all three count as light armor as it is now).

Concording more legs are needed. [EDIT] I meant armour variety. Damn you freud and your slips! xd
I would also like to see a range of random stats, so that you can have the same grade with (little, +-5 or something) differences in protection.
But yeah, it's true that you end up wearing the same items on all the characters at various stages of progression. I'm sure some more armour will be added but also more variations of the same armour could be great. Could be also sleeveless/with slives for shirts, short pants may offer less protection (but weight less and hence have more mobility/stealth, something I was doing but abandoned at some point) and have the long pants variation for full coverage.
Also the possibility to "add" the chain or the pads on existing items might not be bad. Probably not making much sense but gives more means to found armour.

I slipped too: "because we need limbs - and variation"... forgot that arms are kinda important in a melee oriented game... xD

This "upgrade" its not a good idea, maybe is better just a search bar (even as it is now is hard to find some stuff in the clothing workbench when you have all the recipes).
