Stealing limbs

I’m new to the game, and my character lost an arm recently. Later I came across a wandering skeleton and knocked him out, kidnaped him and have been trying to remove his left arm for my use. Is there a more efficient way or system for me to take it then just constantly beating him up and healing only his core body?

To be honest I didn't even think you could do that, or rather didn't even think about it. Can you actually do that? In some major cities (except Holy Nation) (Shobattai, Mongrel, World's End, and others) there are Robotics shops that have robotic limbs for sale (or if you want, you can steal them, since only specialist and masterwork ones are really worth it and they're expensive). You can then put the limbs on through inventory -> Limbs button (right below the backpack button). Hive villages also carry robotics, the most primitive but also the cheapest ones, which should carry you far enough to get a better replacement, especially if you lost leg(s).

Slight SPOILER for best location of robotic limbs There is a shop in Black Desert City that has the best robotic limbs, often Masterwork, and it's easy to steal them since they're stored on the second floor behind walls where no guards can see). Granted you should have a quick character because the entire area is acidic to your feet and has permanent acid rain. If you don't know where the city is, it's in Deadlands, area southwest of the huge desert in the northeast of the map, and northeast of the swamps, and practically straight east from Bad Teeth.
