Hey Guys,

I ran into some problem after altering some textures. The textures look perfectly normal as long as you are zoomed in completely, but as soon as you zoom out the textures turn partially black and it gets worse as you zoom out more, until they are completely black. I actually just used some original textures and modified them. I think it has something to do with the FCS since I did the same edit(just made them black and white) to other textures and they seem to work out fine.

This is usually caused by not generating mipmaps when the texture is exported

I created mipmaps though... I think. The chest piece that uses the same texture doesn't have that problem it's only the pants that has that problem that's why I thought it had something to do with the FCS.

I'll try redoing the texture and make sure I'm generating mipmaps.

Edit: So making sure that it generated mipmaps didn't help, same problem. But I realized that there seems to be the same problem with the chestpiece, just on a smaller scale and only with the plating on the hands and nothing else.
I'm using Paint.net if that helps

Okay I seriously have no clue what the problem is... I created a whole set of armor where I just took textures, made them black and white and some a lil darker and only the pants have this problem. Well and the chest piece but that isn't really noticable unless you're looking for it.

I think paint.net doesn't create mipmaps correctly. Other people have reported the same problem.
I suggest trying gimp with the dds plugin to export your textures. Photoshop works too but isn't free.
