Animals bought from Nomads don't join (v1.0.31)

I've just bought two animals, a Bonedog and a Pack Bull, at the same time from Nomads that visited my outpost. I've named both animals but now they are not part of any of my squads and in their faction panel it says their names and "Nomads".
While I bought them the Bonedog was eating a corpse. So maybe this active "job" prevented it from joining me.

I would also upload my kenshi.log but it's blocked as "invalide file extension".

How many characters did you have? Animals counts as characters, and there is a 30 character limit in vanilla. If you're at that limit, they will fail to join after you buy them.

As for the logs, you need to zip them up before uploading. Though I doubt it's needed in this case.

Ok. I had exactly 30. Is there a way to increase this limit without modding?
