game not opening HELP ME PLEASE

game keeps not opening it instantly crashes on start i dont even see the loading screen please help this happened because im on fresh pc i factory reseted my pc and downloaded kenshi threw steam but doesnt work now i tried downloading java and dirtect x and nothing helpped please let me know what would fix this if anyone know PLEASEEEEEEEEEE HELP i took it to a close by computer shop to help me and they cannot figure out why it wouldnt launch either PLEASE HELP ME

So what does the Dependency program tell you? If there is an issue with missing DLLs, it should be telling you which are returning with errors.

i tried using the Dependencies but it doesnt work for me it opens up in notepad

The guide above shows how to use the program. Run the "DependenciesGui.exe" file you downloaded. If it's opening in notepad, you're opening the wrong file.

i just downloaded the right now i see what you talking about the gui i click on it and windows says dont run it i click on run anyway and nothing pops up

And did you install the required Visual C++ redistributable mentioned on the download page for the Dependencies program?


Assuming your system is 64-bit, which it should be if you want to run Kenshi anyway, this is the one you'll want.

I don't want your money, and I will not access your computer to attempt to fix it for you (nor should you be offering it).

I would try downloading dependencies via the second link, as sometimes your AV can kill part of the download, depending on what you have.

If that doesn't work, you should run a dxdiag (explained here if needed), then attach the file to a post here.

hello sir i tried downloading the Dependencies tool again but not working i use the windows tool and it said no problems were found and i cant upload it it says Error
Invalid file extension: DxDiag.txt every time i tried to upload it to here

Right click the file it created, then select Send To->Compressed (zipped) folder

Then attach the zip file here.

Can you try running Kenshi from its exe file directly? Does it give an error when you do so, or just nothing happens?

And can you attach the kenshi.log and kenshi_info.log files after you try launching the game?

it gives me a error code 0XC0000007b it says the application was unable to start correctly where do i find my log files ?
