So I recently ran into some issues, starting when I first used mods, but as you'll read I don't think that was the issue. However here's the modlist, nothing to crazy I believe:
Image

First I experienced save files that would freeze the game immediately when I click on the in the load menu (not even loading yet).

I went on with autosaves fine. Then at some point I experienced "invalid zone data" and the game would freeze about a minute into the game. That is when I realized the disk was full, so I freed up some space, but the problem persisted. I tried importing the save but the game just hangs in loading screen (I've never done an import before, I suppose it should not take several minutes?).

Here are the saves along with kenshi.log: https://limewire.com/d/b993a6a3-470d-48 ... qzxpgQK53w

the "invalid zone data" is the latest, supposedly working one, and hopefully recoverable
"main2" just shows an error in load menu supposedly because the disk was already full at that point
"main" is the one that freezes the game (I think this was from before disk was full!)

I now loaded an autosave shortly before the invalidzonedata one with squad position reset and it seems fine (still says invalid zone files but does not freeze), so the priority on this is not super high!

the fact that it didn't crash after squad position reset indicates that specific zones are the problem? after reading up on invalid zone files I found this guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 2789171241
I suppose if the issues happen again I will go by that. There are quite some zone files with 0 bytes in that save folder, is this normal? maybe this is due to the disk full issue? Should I just delete them?

here is the save.log btw:

If it were me, I would import the save at this point. Don't have to reset buildings or anything like the guide suggests at this point, but it would refresh your world data. Ensuring things work more smoothly again.

it doesn't work, unless the process takes more than 5 minutes?

I managed to get around this by resetting squad positions and just avoiding the area of the map where it happened. But now it's happening in another area as well ...

took a look at the guide again, it said to delete files in the saves zone folder until the error stops showing, but even if I delete all of the files I get the error (makes sense since the error is "missing zone files" ... ). What exactly does this mean? Can I just copy the missing zone files from another save? The guide said to open the file you have identified as corrupt (which I failed to) in FCS, I figured out all the 0 byte files yield an error on open, so at least I deleted those.

And as I said, importing just freezes. Maybe someone else can try to import this game for me?

this is the current save: https://limewire.com/d/d6e2fa25-a3a9-43 ... qgfaJubeFw

I don't know what to do... btw the cause of this is that my harddrive was full at some point (probably the reason for the 0 byte files)

So I tested the save, and can import it just fine if I do it without buildings. Also works fine if I import after removing all zone files. It's virtually impossible to track down the specific corrupt zone files causing the freeze though, as there are so many.

So my suggestions would be either:

A: Accept losing all buildings, and just import without them. This will allow you to play without issues, though any bases or buildings you own in towns will be gone.

B: Use this map on the wiki to identify which zone files your bases/buildings are in, and save those files manually, then wipe all the other zone files and import. The first number in a zone file's name is the columns along the top, the second number is the rows on the left side. It is possible that it still might not import though, if any of your buildings are in a corrupt zone file themselves. But it would be easier to identify the culprits with fewer files to search through, and only lose some buildings instead of everything.
