Kenshi Crash After ok button on config screen

I have tried to run this game as admin, update all drivers, verify game files, install the game again, and i still keep getting the pop up saying "Kenshi has crashed". It happens after i press the ok button on the config screen. The demo worked fine but when i updated it to the full version it started to have problems so i tried to fix it through various solutions and nothing has worked so far. Does anyone have any tips that could help me get this game working again?



Thank you guys for the replies about my issue. i found a fix to it (for me at least). After i upgraded from the demo to the full game the game did not work so i decided to do all those fixes mentioned earlier.However none of them work but i found that one solution that worked for me was that i ran kenshi alpha and it crashed again like i expected then reopened desura and i right clicked on kenshi alpha and scrolled down to Version and selected the Kenshi beta again. I made sure that this ran and than i clicked on Version again and clicked back on alpha. Now alpha is working fine. not sure what the real problem was but this fixed it

One common cause of that problem on vista and win 7 is Data execution prevention. If you havent and it might be the problem, You can create DEP exceptions via:
Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Advanced > Performance > Settings
Or just google it, there are many image heavy guides.

buying it shouldn't cause that problem. All you do is enter a key code in to the demo. Did you re-install another version when you bought it? Which one/from where? Which one was the one that worked? GamersGate gives you an old version unless you download the public demo.

Note that the "demo version" is the full version, all you do is unlock the extra features with a key code.

I have the same issue. The demo worked fine. I bought it last night. I let the game update. Found here that the updater has an issue so I uninstalled and installed it again.

I did not let the updater update the game and it still throws an error and don't produce a dump file.
