Mercenary body guards, robbing me

This is weird,
I offer 4k for two day protection...they take the 4k and say "ok jobs done here"

I give 2k and the follow for days till i reload a save....
Or i offer 4k and they say jobs done...

They help me make 100k so i cant complain about the 8k i didnt need to spend but ok....
