Do the fogmen and shrieking bandits have a fixed population? I have not seen this answered anywhere.
Otherwise a forest of infinite easy to mow down people would make for one hell of a good high level training ground.
Are fogmen and Shireking bandits infinate?

So it is not possible to wipe out the fogmen?

Not quite. Once i dedicated myself to clearing out the fog islands. I've been wiping every yard i see on my way around, and watched global population counter closely, which was going down slowly. So the picture is thus: The wiped yard despawns in a while, and contain no more fogmen prior to despawn. As Yards despawns, less patrols are presented in the area. Yet, population grows back up slowly, new yards spawns over time, and upon game import, progress on wiping resets (i think it was import, not safe-load O_O).philthymcnasty wrote:So a deadyard does not stay wiped out.
So, shortly, yes, they are technically infinite, however it is possible to wipe them out for a while.
Also a fun mechanics flaw: if you put a fogmen or whoever, on a prisoners pole, the place will get overwhelmed by fogmen who're coming to get some food and prays. These also seem to spawn infinitely and in large quantities.
Bloody fogmen...first encounter with them was a good mission. Really did feel stuck in Mongrel.
Hired mercs to help on the escape.
I think the prisoner pole is not a flaw but a cool mechanic the player can use to turn against their enemy.
Seems you can reduce the population right down but will gradually climb back over time. Have not managed to get population right down to Zero and see consequences. You can get nest stats via clicking the icon on the map.
