Hiya! Thought I'd start a thread for people to post about their daily happenings in this awesome game :)

Lately I've been working with my group of 5 Skeleton wanderers. We've been making a bit of cash raiding and looting ruins, but have started to yearn for more. After traveling north to the Holy Lands, we realized their purpose: to slaughter those who slaughtered our brethren.

First we struck a Holy Farm... the humans fell easily but offered very little in the way of loot. We took their medkits and valuables, but left their food and their animals.

Next we traveled north-west to the Holy Mines, where we again slaughtered the humans. Since they were Sentinels instead of Farmers, we took a bit more damage but acquired some much nicer loot. We retreated to the swamp to sell the loot and scour the bars for more Skeletons. No luck there.

We then headed back north, towards a Holy Military Base. This would be a much more dangerous battle, so we lured the gate guards away from their post and beat them down. Unfortunately for us, more and more continued to show up. We continued trying to move further from the base to avoid attracting any more attention.

As we had planned, each time an Sentinel fell, he was looted for armor, weapons, and medkits. This way, if/when they get back up, they wouldn't be nearly as dangerous. During the battle, two of us were knocked down. A Sentinel, at one point, even looted one of us and attempted to kidnap him, though we beat the Sentinel down quite quickly and circled around our fallen comrade.

We eventually managed to knock down all that came to attack us. We loaded up out backpacks with their armor and swords, and slowly shuffled off down the road, leaving a pile of dead and dying Sentinels in our wake. Being skeletons, we could not bleed, nor could we (seemingly) die. Even after the worst of battles, we simply patch ourselves up and continue on. Sure, repair kits are expensive... but never bleeding or having to eat certainly helps. The worst they could do is knock us out and kidnap us, a fate we have so far avoided.

Though very close to defeat, we managed to survive another day while invading hostile territory. So far so good!

---

So, what did you do in Kenshi today? :D

**Edit: I think they were Sentinels instead of Acolytes. Corrected.

While it was not today, i though that i'll share the most recent story of mine with a little introduction.

Party of 23 humans, a Shek and Burn, the Skeleton, all live south of Blister Hill. Non of the party has any particular hatred to HN as of yet, nor we've ever been seriously bothered by any of their squads.

So once upon a time i've sent a selected group up North to explore the land, gather info and probably some lost tech. It's been a long journey with plenty of battles and some looting inbetween. Group has mover through Floodlands, past Flotsam, into the World's End and farther west, towards Leviathan Coast, which was our goal. Halfway i realized that we're short of meals, and our packs are full of ancient scrap, so we had to turn back, through Iron Trail, and Shrieking Forest, back to hometown.

In the forest we've encountered a group of shrieking bandits, and conversation took a wrong turn somewhere, so we had to fight. In a few minutes most of us were badly injured, for bandits just kept coming, so we had to fallback, to the outskirts of the iron trail. Eventually, bandits abandoned the chase, but we were scattered over a rather large area. While we were gathering at the meeting point, few cannibals showed up, took down few of us with heavy lossess on their side, grabbed couple of bodies and began their retreat. Luckily, we've had a guy with healthy legs nearby, who has managed to catch up with cannibals, and to return our uncounscious comrades.

So we've successfully gathered and broke a camp in the end, and last time we've seen those cannibals, they've been falling from bloodloss, trying to retreat back into the Iron Trail, and a group of Gutters's been moving toward their bodies... We then packed our stuff hurrily and moved back home, where we successffully arrived in a while.

The end.

In my pocket i also have a story about a journey through the Fog Lands, which i may tell sometime. Or i may not. We'll see :)

Today, we collected the bounty on the Dust King and locked his minions away in their own tower with no food or medkits. Seemed fair, as they undoubtedly would have done the same to us.

After that we decided we wanted to build an outpost, so we headed down to ClownSteady to collect the Books, Ancient Books, and Engineering Plans we had stored there. While in town, we stopped at the Bar and recruited as many as we could. In all, we recruited about 5 Humans and 6 Hivers, and then set off towards the northern edge of the swamp.

Travelling was slow, at least until we picked up several of the humans and carried them along. Previous to this, they seemed to get distracted often and go the wrong direction.

We arrived at the intended area and found a nice spot nestled between several copper deposits and an iron deposit. We set up a Stone Mine and Processor, then a Storm House and an Iron Smelter.

When I logged off, I had one human going through a lot of research, and the rest either standing guard with Crossbows mounted on the Storm House, or mining either stone or iron. Future plans: more crossbows for defense, see if I can get a wall around the place, establish a farm so the warm-bloods don't starve, and get going with armor and weapon production.

Been working on St. Tengu, a city named after one of my Skeletons.

Not much to say about it, other than it is functioning smoothly with no extra input now, and producing weapons, armor, and food.

Next plan is to build a smaller, more fortified base closer to Holy Lands, to act as more of a forward base of operations for our eventual attacks.

Hunted AI core carriers(mod) failed to locate any.decided to return by taking a walk through fogmen territory decided to stop in the ancient lab fought off 6 security spiders almost lost my hole travelling group, fought some fogmen freed a few captives did a little shopping in mongrel hired a comrade resumed heading home through fogmen territory stumbled upon a small nest of beak things, beat them. watched two beak things kill and eat a gorillo.

I find that the journey home is always more intrigueing than the initial journey.

Decided to migrate about 12 workers from my Southern Base (named St. Tengu) to my Northern Base (named St. Hex). These consisted mostly of extra turret guards, as well as a few Armor craftsmen. This base is larger than the southern one... actually perhaps too large. Sometimes my workers get confused while pathing or go out of range of their assigned task and get lost one way or another. However, with a little bit of moving stuff around all seems to be well again.

Built up a building for them to use as a new smithy, as well as putting in some seat and tents (via a Steam mod) to make the city looked a little more lived-in.

Due to the location of St. Hex, we frequently get passersby, including trading caravans and Shek patrols, although we get plenty of Hungry and Starving Bandits wandering through. Sometimes they are peaceful, and sometimes a fight breaks out. They Bandits never win these battles, and in fact we often imprison them in order to attempt to recruit them later (another mod).

Also been making sure my smiths are well-stocked and able to produce weapons and armor at high quality. My main Armorsmith now produces Specialist Grade often, and my Weaponsmith produces Mk. III weapons. The big thing holding me back is lack of AI Cores, of which I have not found any yet... though I did find some maps that point to some outposts in the far north... we shall have to investigate.

Building up my Raiders squad, which is now up to 9 Skeletons with pretty decent weapons and armor. Soon, we will head back to Holy Lands to wreak a little havoc. :D

Today I showed my enemy mercy and honored the fallen with marking their graves with their weapons where they fell. If they weren't so racist I wouldn't have to kill them but they asked for it as usual.

I started the playthrough as a hive exile named zenith and basically only hired skeletons from there on brcause food is apparently the price as fucking leviathan pearls. I headed to the ashlands and using the prisner recruitment mod i recruited every skeleton i came across untill i had ammassed about 48 skele boys with general jang as the commander, sadly it would not let me recruit the cheiff of ancient police which is a shame because he killed two of my party and downed about five keep in mind most of my party had fighting statts in the 40s. Now im kind of just a bounty hunter with near infinate money from selling ashland loot. My party is too big and im thinking about just selling them into slavery and only using the general jang zenith. (Very important) the code to get the ashlands robofucks once caged is 2 (english) 132144123114 that took me two hours too find so if u wanna free the ashland people your welcome

I'll tell you what happened last time i played Kenshi:

I was being attacked by not only hungry bandits, but also dust bandits and the god damn Black Dragon Ninjas. All at the same time...

Now get this, we didn't take much damage but some of my lower skilled fighters did get knocked out. No big deal though, seeing as I have beds, I would've just let them get some rest after the battle....

WELL, here comes the god damn Slave Traders. Taking not only all of the bandits and Black Dragon Ninjas we just slaughtered, but also coming for my unconscious people in my OWN base. What the FUCK!?

One of the cheeky assholes wouldn't drop my Scorchlander named Carp... So, I had to force him to drop Carp by sending harpoons his direction. He dropped Carp and we painted our walls with their gore... Giving me some bad rep with them in the process.

These Slave Traders piss me off. I don't even care how bad my relations are towards them. Trying to run off with my people from my own base. Grimy fuckwits will continue to be slaughtered so long as they keep coming to my base trying to enslave my people.

Found some lush soil at Green Beach with a decent sizeable mining area for Ore/Copper and Stone which I intend to build a massive city that can provide Fisheries as well as Sugar, Wheat, Rice, the works for a whole variety of foods (Mod).

But for now work is slow, building mining infrastructure and getting my sustenance from the local Crab Population.
I formed an alliance with the Crab Raiders to help me out when the Reavers decide to pay me a visit (Their time will come).
Managed to recruit a pretty impressive Reaver Ironclad of 55 Attack (Cost me 20,000 cats to recruit) But i'm swimming in cash due to my other base near Squin providing top quality Swords, Clothes, Whisky (Mod) and eventually when I've set up the Houses and factories and prepared the agriculture, I shall start the great Exodus From the Borderzone to Green Beach "Farewell Hungry Bandits/Dust Bandits/Genshi(sp?) Assassins.. Hello Reavers!"
Managed to Ally with the Shek Kingdom, so no longer have to worry about pissing off random Shek warriors that want to test their fighting skills against us.

Bought 6 Garrus to carry the food, Crops needed to start over at Green Beach and the journey will begin.
