TLDR: I've got a 100% reproducable crash without crashdump generated that occurs when loading an area by double clicking a specific character while my focus is far away from that character.

Each time it crashes, one very consistent thing I've found is that kenshi_info.log's last entry is always "[warning]: [MapFeatureSource] Map feature 2332-Newwworld.mod not found" regardless of any other variables - kenshi.log shows various other information but the last line(s) are not always consistent across crashes.

No crashdump is generated; the screen freezes briefly and a Windows error about the process being unresponsive pops up through which I must close the Kenshi process out. The crash occurs when switching to an area about half-way between Blister Hill and Okran's Shield. It occurs before the ground and other textures fully render in the area. Specifically, I am changing to this area by double clicking on a character in the bottom squad box to focus on that character. I'm not sure this is relevant, but the problem character has a "yellow" background because he is very hungry.

I can double-click on other characters who are in the same area, nearby the problem character, and things load fine as far as I can tell, without crashing. When in the same area, if I double-click on the problem character, I have no issue - it centers on him just fine without crashing. However if I then move my focus to another area and double-click on the problem character to move back, the game will crash.

While I do have some mods enabled, I am able to load the game (despite errors) without them enabled, and reproduce this crash with the exact same consequences/output. Regardless of whether the mods are enabled, the exact same log entry appears in kenshi_info.log so I suspect that mods are not at fault. Additionally they are all relatively popular Steam workshop mods and a very simple homemade mod, so nothing too crazy going on mod-wise.

Things I have tried to address the issue:
- Loading without mods enabled
- Verifying files via Steam
- Deleting my "new_overlay.x.x.png" files and re-verifying via Steam
- Importing a save instead of loading it
- Completely nuking and reinstalling Kenshi via Steam
- Updating nvidia geforce drivers to the latest version (430.86)
- Rebooting my computer

System hardware config: i5-4690k, nvidia 970 card, 16GB/ram, Win7.

Please don't hesitate to ask if I can provide any more additional useful information.

No crash dump is being generated; instead Windows detects that "the process stopped responding" and prompts me to close Kenshi.

I've gone ahead and attached a self-made dump which includes the save in the "quicksave" folder, as well as the config and log files from my Kenshi installation. Hopefully this provides any needed data as well as the capacity to reproduce the problem.

If you do choose to load the save file and reproduce the problem, the problem character is named "Little", double clicking him while far away from him is what causes the crash. As I mentioned before, you can load the save and reproduce the error without having to load the mods that I've got loaded, you'll see some errors/warnings when loading, but the crash bug is unaffected by whether or not the mods are loaded.
