[Kenshi 2] Personalize gear

The character growth system is very impressive, as it is visual and make every characters journey to greatness feel unique and personal. However, the gear is static. It can be changed and switched to something else, but it never ages or change in any way. I felt when playing today that perhaps something was missing. Especially the sword. You quickly learn how to obtain close to the best sword in the game, just obtaining it is no real challenge. Same with other weapons. So the question is: Why have so many variations when you mostly use the upper best weapons anyway?

I came up with this: Perhaps the weapon grow as well, like old shoes. They will fit your feet better than even new shoes, and you have become used to them. Same with weapons, you get used to the specific balance of the weapon, the weight. Perhaps the weapons stats changes slightly the way you play, the same way the characters does. The weapon would get better with time, making you want to hold on to that rusty junk a bit longer. It would make the weapon feel more personal. Don't really know how, and this could really be even more built upon. Just a thought.
