During update 1.55 i had experienced very few crashes, almost none for the whole day, while before that game version i used to play with up to 10 crashes per day. they seem to happen at random times, sometimes 10 minutes after loading a save, sometimes hours after, sometimes 1 minute after. i use a few mods and these are: recruit anyone, katana_daishou, patchwork_armour, new weapons dissemination mod, more combat animation, kenkyaku_idle, compressed textures project, patch hat, fixing clipping issues, shoppingecon, reactive world, fix relation (healing) EN, better mercenaries, 256 squad limit. I have used these same mods since before 1.55 update. After 1.55 update, the kenshi launcher says that the game still is v1.55, even though i have allowed the game to update to once the v1.59 patch came through (idk how to downgrade the version or reroll it, im a tech noob 100%), and the crashes have returned in force. this is my absolute favourite game, and the mods (especially kenkyaku idle, katana daishou and more combat animation) have insurmountably improved the quality of my Kenshi experience, so i would very much appreciate it if there would be a fix for this that lets me play from steam and not through GeForce Now. thank you kindly for reading

Error appears to be this:

Code: Select all

OGRE EXCEPTION(887a0005:RenderingAPIException): Failed to create rasterizer state
Error Description:hr = 0x887A0005
Looking around online, looks to be an issue with graphics drivers. First thing I'd try is updating them.

If that doesn't work, this post has someone with the same error, and they fixed it by turning off the Shader Cache under Manage 3D settings in the Nvidia Control Panel. Worth a shot at least.

Hi!
Thank you for the prompt reply! when i saw the notification i jumped out of bed, but i am sad to say that i cannot find any shader cache option under 3d Management in the Nvidia Control Panel.
Would you mind explaining where it shows up? :D I would immensely appreciate it!

Thanks! I have shade cache size instead of just shader cache, but i have disabled the shader cache size and now it is back to the same error from before 1.55, called BAD STUFF, or running out of memory.
Thanks anyway, man :)
