Game crashes when entering my town

I started experiencing fairly regular crashes when I enter my town.

It most often happens when I am away with my squad, and then select a character that is back at home - when the camera goes to my town, there will be a crash.

It can also happen when loading the town for the first time after using "load game"

I have tried the usual things, verify integrity of files, disable all mods, etc. Does not seem to make a difference.

I am usually able to get past the crash by just trying again and again, eventually it will load without crashing.

Any advice is appreciated!
