Squad gets replaced by Npcs

I've noticed that every time I make more than 3 squads when loading, a random squad gets replaced by 1 npc.

Once this happens all the save files gets corrupted, meaning that in older save files (even if working before) the same squad is replaced by a npc. Problem persists with mods and without active mods.

Any idea how I can fix this?

Change your faction name, then make all new squads, move the characters over, then delete the old squads.

You're using the same name as an NPC faction, and the file name system for squads uses the faction name. So my guess is when you're making the new squads it's accidentally naming it the same as an already existing NPC squad.
