Version 1.0.55 (Newland)
This is kind of a series of events that happen in a few days.
First, I got a bug where I can't save the game. (During which, I noticed that all my saves were gone.) I tried to save, but nothing happened. I tried to exit the game. The game said that it was exiting, but it took so long, so I kinda shut it down via Task Manager. I reopened the game, and all my saves were gone. I tried fixing the files via Steam, and reinstalling the game. Nothing helped. I tried recovered the lost files using some sort of software but it didn't help. So I just accepted it and started a new game the next day.

However, after such incident, the game is somehow making other apps freeze. (Edge, Discord, etc.) Specifically, when I alt+tab out of the game, Discord will freeze and sometimes even crashes. Microsoft Edge pages won't load saying that the memory isn't enough. The thing is I always played Kenshi while using these apps just fine before. It's just now that this is happening. Not only that, Kenshi itself keeps crashing for quite a few times today. I have never experiences these many crashes within one day. I don't use any mods by the way.

I am sorry if the post is too long, I think I try to include as much information as possible. Basically, I just want to know what causes the saves to disappear so that I can prevent it from happening in the future, and also what is causing the game to run so poorly now. I tried to attach a crash log, but it says that my file is too big.

Also, I don't use any mods, but I save scum like a lot, a lot. I am not sure if that contributes to this.

Honestly, if other programs started having issues at the same time, I'd guess its a dying or corrupted hard drive. I'd run a chkdsk scan on the drive.

the other things that are happing are most likely due to something in your computer starting to go bad.
As Shidan pointed out it could be your Hard Drive.
could be your video card. or your ram. i wont say your MB or your CPU, as if they start going, your computer just shuts down. i got a lot of experience with that.

Do as Shidan said first. then look at how much ram you have left and drive space.
the hard drive will be the easy part. if its near full, then its cutting off your page file which helps your computer run with its being used as virtual ram. this can cause all sorts of issues like you described. but so can a lot of other thing's too.

if worse comes to worse. you may need to take it into a computer repair shop since its affecting other programs as well.
Do you believe the sexes should be equal?
Oh heavens no.
Then Men would become unmanageable

AMD FX-8150 - Eight Core, 3.60GHz
NVidia GTX 1050TI
