Long time HUGE kenshi fan,
The part I enjoyed MOST was being able to construct a whole city and alter almost everything about it. Assigning jobs, getting recuits training up for an army, a well oiled machine if you will. The ability to control aspects of this does have its limits though. It's still very fun, but I would love to see the following elements in Kenshi 2:
[I know some mentions below are currently in mods, these are things I would like to see in the vanilla game itself]
- Ability to assign recruits to a gate/building to set to guard mode (just like idle guards in NPC towns)
- A wider range of farming options with different colours purely for aesthetic purposes
- Assigning buildings as "shops" which trigger visitors to come and purchase from those stores
- Ability to assign dropping off goods to your shops storage chests to be sold (e.g. blacksmith making katanas can be set to store in your shops storage for sale)
- Be able to build and sell buildings inside your city/town which NPCs will sometimes purchase and set up their own homes/shops
- Ability to create caravans from your town to NPC towns (e.g. when "x" storage is full, send caravan with "assigned units" to town "y" and sell goods). Your caravans are prone to being attacked along the way as per normal mobs are.
- Can assign units to a raid group (just like your base can be raided), to send to prediscovered towns/locations and kill inhabitants and loot "preselected resources" to then bring back to your outpost
- Can assign recruiters group to go out into the world to recruit new people for you
That's my 2c from a base building perspective.
Props to the team and modding community for making such an awesome experience.
Enchanced city/town development
