I was trying to get a custom crafting bench working but I noticed that the output stack size wasn't changing no matter what I did (changing item crafts to produces, adding an inventory to the crafting bench/changing stack multiplier). I've double checked the functionality I've added to the game and compared it to already existing functionalities but couldn't find the problem. In fact, I ended up building a cooking stove to see if it was having the same issue, and it was. The max number to store for dried meat is set to 5, but putting in raw meat and cooking it will set it to "output full" after just one.
It could be possible that something changed at some point, I am running some mods but none of them should be affecting the crafting benches this way. On top of that, the custom crafting functionality I added was working a year ago, and I had all the same mods then. I'm not sure what could be going on or if maybe I'm just misunderstanding or overlooking something, but I've already spent 2-3 hours looking it over and I've come up with nothing.

- There's only a single item in the output, causing it to be full.

I suspect this is simply working as intended. A crafting bench that can make multiple items needs to be full after one item, or the character wouldn't empty it automatically. And if you happen to not want to craft a full stack of the item, it means they wouldn't empty it to make room for the next item.
By having it cap at one item, it will always be emptied before the next item can be crafted, avoiding it getting clogged and stopping production.

Yeah, that makes sense. I kept thinking about it and wondering if maybe I had just imagined it working fine or never noticed because when I was using it originally I had other pawns to pick up and store items or cook them. It'd be nice to be able to get them to stack but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ whatever I'll work around it. Thanks for looking into this!
