More or less, the book didn't seem quite "Kenshi", but it was ok (understandable)

It was a Saturday... or was it Sunday? I can't remember, I have only forgotten the name of the day, but the number of the day and everything else will be on my head... I was going to check the captain for my daily assigments, and I got the same: patrol. I was happy, I never really liked charging, I prefered to stay on the lookout.
When we were patrolling, 2 squads of the Holy Empire and 1 of bandits ambushed us, while archers from the United Cities backed them. We weren't only 1 squad, we were 3. We had a millitary life, because we were mercenaries of the mercenary guild. Assassins, thieves, warriors, barbarians, archers and a trillion other kind of fighters swarmed. I had 1 squad of archers and 2 other of veterans. The archers surpressed the others, while the enemy was slaughtered. After we were done, I said "we gotta report this, this may be an atack!". We rushed to the metropolis, and we saw defenses being set up. We warned him of what we encountered, and he said "What? I thought there were only bandits and the united cities goons!". We helped as much as we could in setting up more defenses and we organized positions.

When I was picking the people to go on the mission,I took 1 squad of archers, one of harpoon gunners 2 of assassins and 3 caged really dangerous wolves. We were going to find their camp, create a distraction, kill the commander and get out of there. When we found a camp, we released the wolves. They immediatly sneaked to the entrance and started a slaughter. It took like 4 seconds for one to kill a veteran. We sneaked inside the tent and killed the commander. I spotted 20 cages with many animals that wold create a slaughter. I told the archers to fire at the locks, and they suffered heavy losses.

When we went back to the metropolis, we saw the gates having been breached. We sneaked inside our own city and saw our captain dead. The liteunant that took his place ordered a mass evacuation, for the battle was lost. We left many cages open with all kinds of creatures that wold create a slaughter. Only 500 remained, but we still needed to evacuate for our revenge. As they aproached the inner walls, we made them burn with our oil. Thoose were just the bandits, and the United Cities and the Holy empire were aproaching. However, the many other guilds have made considerable losses to their two armies. After they breached the gate, they had to climb the mountain. Rocks slided down and slowly destroyed the bandits.

When the 2 other armies came, they had to face all the traps of the castle that we set up in a rush. We are right now slowly marching towards the Great Temple of the Holy Empire, which will cause them to have nearly no morale and will be easy to wipe them out. After that, we go to the United Cities' main trade city and raze it whole. When we destroy their capital, we will make a new metropolis. Other guilds have begun to raze other very imporant cities of both sides.

Paragraphs are your friend. While the content may or may not be entertaining to different people I find the difficulty in reading to be the biggest turn off.

An important rule (to me) is that making things easy to read and understand for your audience goes a long way towards making the whole experience more enjoyable. Paragraphs would help me, personally.

No one can ever read that huge block of text...

Paragraphs are annoying, period. Now don't call it a "huge block of text", feel lucky that I got tired enough of hearing your paragraph complaints, I've put a few. Now DON'T keep calling it a huge block of text, I just put your damn paragraphs. If you don't like it, go read a book page, this is just like a book page of one of the fantasy books.

Those are line breaks (I think) not paragraphs. There should be a whole line gap between them.
