In my point of view, when the limestone is heated under maximum temprature and give a pressure on it, there would calcite is melted. Although marble is a metamorphic limestone. After that larger crystals are formulated and this is called marble.

What is it and where is it formed?
There are lot of uses of marble. It is used in buildings, fireplace mantles, tomb stones, etc. It is soft and is easy to carve or cut into shapes. That is whay it is also used to make statues..
Don't compare yourself to others . You have no idea what their journey is all about!
Pretty much correct. Marble is a metamorphic rock formed from limestone under moderately high pressure and temperature conditions. Most interestingly is how the various impurities cause different colours within the marble.
Why are we discussing marble in the General forum though? This is far more suited to the off-topic where we can continue discussing this wondrous stone in more depth. Perhaps some mods can move this for us while I go and hunt down dozens of pictures of marble in all its glory.
